John Dowland was lute virtuoso born in either 1562 or 1563, died probably 20 or 21 January 1626. At the beginning he was learining to play lute in France and after getting music baccalaureate, he tried to get his position as court lutiest, although he failed. He began his journey around the Europe.
Very important time for Dowland was his stay in Italy, where he met Giulio Caccini. He learned italish music style, which influented his music.
